Turning to make sure that the beast has not followed you this far, the empty North Carolina field is a comfort like no other. It's crazy to think that this all started when you accidentally made eye contact with one of the creatures in the woods while heading along the Haunted Trail. It was innocent enough, but whoever, or whatever, those bright red eyes belonged to did not approve. Now you're being actively hunted and are being forced to run for your life. Your trance-like state is instantly shattered by the sound of panting and plodding...and it's only getting louder.
